I love the expression that life can be bitter-sweet. While we all strive for the sweet times, lately we’ve been tossed a huge helping of bitter with COVID and events we can’t control. Talk about stressful!
O’KeeffeFMC’s focus is to help with those stressful situations that get in the way of embracing the sweet moments in life. When the bitter moments create so much conflict around you, you feel antsy and stressed, O’Keeffe FMC can help. For someo people mediation is the path to easing the conflict and for others coaching works.
For many of us, easing conflict and stress, especially now that our lives are filled with conflicting messages about masks, travel and politics, can be achieved at home. When I was in my health and law training programs, I learned that grouping important tasks into packages of 3 helps keep us grounded. So, here’s my 3 pack of stress reduction – or at least an array of ideas that may help you get on track:
Family First – always touch base with everyone for good and bad paths. Trust me – it helps. Whether zoom or in person, staying connected with people eases stress and conflict.
Fun, Fun, Fun. What do you do for fun? Do you have fun with your friends? Family? Alone time? Keep fun close at hand. For me, I still cook, take pictures, play my saxophone and have fun activities with all my family members. Some weeks, fun takes a back seat to other areas of life but when possible I find my days brighter with something positive to focus on.
Relaxation. How do you relax? Do you meditate? Do you exercise? Do you listen to music? Do you watch TV or a movie? Whatever you do, do it daily. Even a few minutes of relaxation goes a long way.
I hope some of these tips help. If not, set up a zoom call and we can chat about what may help you clear the fog in your life.
